My first session with David started with a ten minute warm-up on the elliptical machine. My thoughts were, “Are you kidding? Ten minutes is more like a complete workout for me!” I had tried out the elliptical machine on my own and only lasted about 2 minutes, so I knew that this was going to be a challenge.
The good news is that I did make it, and I am still building my strength and endurance with the machines and weights. It has taken effort on my part, but it is so worth it! David is a great trainer who designs great workout routines and gives instruction on nutrition and guidance for improvement. I had no idea my sugar and fat intake was about double what it should be until he pointed it out to me.
One last thought to share – I came to Snap Fitness intimidated by the atmosphere and the people. I thought that everyone here knew everything about fitness and could tell that I didn’t. I was embarrassed by the way that I looked and didn’t even want to look in the mirror at myself. What I have come to realize is that everyone is here to improve their health and to get fit.
